training facility on wheels (a 40-foot RV) that will
improve our care by creating advanced clinical
education opportunities for medical personnel
throughout our region
Pink Vail: the world’s biggest ski day to conquer
cancer. In March, more than 1,300 participants
raised $350,000 to fund a new survivorship
program at Shaw Regional Cancer Center
Our ThinkFirst Program reached nearly 10,000
people, educating about brain and spinal cord
injuries and giving out 772 bike helmets and 174
ski helmets
$2.3 million in charity care to uninsured patients
through the Eagle Care Clinic
The completion of a state-of-the-art surgery
center in Edwards, adding four new operating
rooms and one procedure room, centrally
located in our valley, in partnership with our
physician investors
Vail Valley Medical Center took home five
Colorado Healthcare Communicator Gold Leaf
awards for Pink Vail, Vail Health Magazine,
Physician’s Quarterly Newsletter, Shaw Patient
